We love this place, great food, great staff, good price. We highly recommend you try the artichokes with ham, Mushrooms Mangels, Pig´s feet carpaccio, Mussels al Rockafort, Chuletón, but everything on the menu is good!! Two blocks away from the B&B

Joan  and  Quim´s second  restaurant  in  our  city  and  we  are   glad  it  is  in  our  neighborhood.  A  nice  selection  of  tapas  and  nice  catalan  dishes.  Nice  cocktails. Friendly  atmosphere.  It  is  only  a  couple  of  blocks  away  so  it  is  quite  convenient.

If  you  want  a  break  from  local  food,  although  we  doubt  it,  we  recommend  this  italian  restaurant,  steps  away  from  our  B&B,  great  pizzas,  pasta  and  more

Old  fashion  Galician food  in  Barcelona.  A  hole  in  a  wall  type  of  place,  very  simple  and  very  good.  If  you  have  to  seat  upstairs  we  don´t recommend  it,  it  is  too  loud

Right on Passeig de Gracia, on the second floor of a beautiful Modernista building.  Admire the patio that gives access to the restaurant, climb up the stairs or take the elevator. The Menu Menú is diverse enough for all tastes. Mediterranean cuisine.

Suggestions:

Graf  tomate, ceba i tonyina (tuna, tomato and onions salad)  salad.

Grilled vegetables with pesto sauce and parmigiano

Our  neighborhood  old  fashion  style  catalan  food,  rustic  place,  non  pretentious  with  basic  ingredients.  You  will  have  to  make  your  own  Bred  with  Tomato.  Couple  of  blocks  away.

Alex, the owner of the restaurant is one of John’s best friends. He owns 3 restaurants in the city and has a catering company. The specialty of L’arrosseria Xativa is paella, one of Spain’s national dishes. L’arrosseria also specializes in risottos. You are welcome also to tell the staff John and kiku sent you there. It is always nice to let your friends know you care about them. It is wonderful food, especially the mushroom risotto!

Typical Catalan Cuisine and one of our favorite restaurants. Dishes are simple and rustic,, just traditional cuisine. Located in the neighbourhood of Gracia, one of the most emblematic ones of the city, known as the bohemian and artistic area. The restaurant is in a corner house  typical from the neighbourhood.

Suggestions:

caracoles a la llauna (snails with garlic sauce)

escalivada (red pepper and eggplant Cooked in the oven, peeled and served cold or semi cold with olive oil) sometimes it comes with goat cheese.

esqueixada (raw cod-fish served with onions and tomato, cold dish, like a salad or a ceviche but no vinegar or lemon, not acid at all)

galtas de porc (grilled pork cheeks, super tender and tasty).

mejillones a la marinera (muscle platter)

mousse de chocolate)  if you like chocolate, this dessert is a “must” to me one of the best mousses.

Our  neighbor´s traditional  tapas  restaurant,  good  and  not  expensive,  it  is  one  block  away  so  it  is  very  convenient.  You  can  find  all  the  typical  tapas  that  you  want.

Muscles are the specialty, Cooked in 20 different sauces: to the beer, to the wine, to the cider, rocafort, curry, pepper, parmesano, pesto, putanesca, bechamel, mustard and a long list of other flavors.  If you don’t like muscles, try their generous salads or the cocas (open zapata bread topped with Chicken, eggplant, melted cheese).  Sonia, the owner of the restaurant will be happy to hear we recommended you, we go there all the time  It has a very nice terrace to sit outside when the weather allows it. I would skip la Muscleria if you are from Belgium, as our Berelgian guests are not so keen on it. 

Suggestions: Pan con tomate (bread with tomato)

Croquetas caseras (home made style croqueten) Jon prefers mussels with mustard sauce, kiku prefer mussels with curry sauce

It  is  one  block  away ,  so  it  is  very  convinient.

Shrimp, prawns, clams, mussels, raizor clams, crab… all fresh like if you were buying in the same market. You will choose what you want from the counter where everything is exposed, they will weigh it for you and take it into the kitchen. You will have to care for your plates, fork, knife, and table, no waiters to serve you. When your food is ready they will call your number on the ticket and you will have to pick it up from the window. Since they don’t have staff taking care of the tables, this brings the cost down dramatically, so price for all this fresh sea food is just unbeatable.
